What happens when you spend millions to renovate a co-working space that nobody wants to lease in a post-Covid landscape? For Vanessa Sturgeon, it meant getting creative and filling an urgent need by converting it into a mental health and addiction treatment facility. First, she turned to city officials to see how her space could best serve the Portland community. Then, she partnered with Jackson House for guidance on how to convert the historic building. The 16-bed residential treatment facility will help those experiencing mental health or addiction issues, with a focus on wellness and holistic treatment modalities. We are thrilled to expand into the Pacific Northwest, and we’re grateful that Vanessa saw an opportunity to help those experiencing a crisis.
